Visited on 10/18/10 by Allen. However, no one was home so I could only peer in through the window.
Comments: This is a well-known "do it yourself space." Lots of big Burning Man projects are created here. They also have a reputation for some crazy creative parties...which gives me hope that they would rent the space.
I only was able to peek through the windows of one of the buildings, but it appears that the second one is even larger than the one I could see into. So there's more to NIMBY than what I was able to photograph.
The geographic location is very industrial in West Oakland. I'm not familiar with the area so I don't know how safe it is or isn't, nor whether it's near any restaurants, etc.
